Meet the Artist

As an artist, I draw inspiration from God's unseen qualities, seeking to make the intangible visible through my work. My art focuses on celebrating the beauty, resilience, and vitality of the world as I see it. This serves as a powerful catalyst for creation, growth, and divine design. Using texture, colors, and mixed media, I infuse my artwork with depth to elicit emotions and invite viewers into an intimate dialogue with each piece. Some of my substrates—canvas, wood, and reclaimed glass—are chosen for their unique ability to convey texture and emotion, amplifying the storytelling in my work. By reimagining these materials, I aim to challenge perceptions of value and beauty, proving that what is often overlooked can become something extraordinary.
Each piece is a dialogue between structure and fluidity, control and spontaneity, reflecting my journey to create work that is as cohesive as it is personal. Through this practice, I cultivate a deeper connection with God, my identity, and the world around me. My goal is to evoke curiosity, introspection, and a renewed sense of wonder in viewers, encouraging them to see the divine in both the extraordinary and the everyday.
As a multidisciplinary artist, my work explores the unseen qualities of God through the lens of my life. A graduate of Bethune Cookman University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Painting became a part of my journey in 2017 during college, where a passion for artistic expression was discovered. The work blends vibrant insight with creative exploration, offering a unique perspective. My artistic practice incorporates diverse materials, including canvas, wood, and reclaimed glass, and employs texture, colors, and mixed media to create evocative pieces that challenge traditional notions of artistry and encourage reflection on themes of creation and renewal.
My work has been featured in several notable exhibitions. The Black and Proud Art Show, held in January 2023 in Atlanta, Georgia, celebrated African American culture and heritage. In March 2024, my work was showcased in EmpowerHer: A Celebration of Women in Art at EDAMCC Galleries in Atlanta, Georgia. Most recently, in November 2024, I participated in Reframing the Canon: Black Contemporary Artists Shaping the Western Narrative in Miami, Florida, an exhibition highlighting the contributions of Black contemporary artists to the Western art canon.
In addition to these exhibitions, I contributed as the set designer for the 2023 short film Whole, which sheds light on mental health issues among Black men through affirmations emphasizing self-love, resilience, and healing.
These opportunities reflect my growth as an artist since those formative college years and my dedication to creating impactful art that fosters meaningful conversations about identity, resilience, and divine inspiration.
Currently based in Atlanta, Georgia, the focus remains on artistic practice, exploring new techniques and connecting with the community. Active participation in Atlanta's vibrant creative scene includes collaborating with local artists and contributing to exhibitions that reflect a passion for storytelling through art. Drawing on my event-planning and problem-solving experience, I approach each project with intention and creativity, ensuring my work resonates on a personal and spiritual level. When I’m not painting, I enjoy exploring new creative mediums, connecting with the community, and sharing the transformative power of art as a means to reflect God's presence in the world.
